Kettering University will host Commencement ceremonies for almost 270 graduates on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, in Flint, Mich.
Highlights of the ceremony will include remarks by Kettering President Robert McMahan and a Commencement address delivered by Henio Arcangeli, President of Motorsports Group Company, Yamaha Motor Corp. Arcangeli is a 1986 graduate of Kettering University and serves on Kettering's Board of Trustees.
Undergraduate student speaker will be Jozsef Benyi from Durban, South Africa, who has served as Kettering's director of the Freshmen Orientation Program.

Outstanding Thesis Awards will go to:
- Andrea Matuska of Rochester Hills, Mich., for "Development of Functional in Vitro Assays to Determine the Anti-Inflammatory Effects of an Autologous Solution Prepared from Whole Blood."
- Mori Yatsui of St. Petersburg, Fla., for "Optimization of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle State-of-Charge Detection with Integrated Lithium-ion Battery Energy Storage System."
President's Medals, which exemplify Kettering's highest ideals of scholarship, leadership and citizenship, will go to:
