Nearly 1,000 DTE Energy and Other Volunteers to Pack and Deliver Hot Meals to Thousands of Homebound Seniors on Christmas Day

WHAT:

Hundreds of DTE Energy (NYSE: DTE)executives, employees, retirees, friends and family members, and other volunteers will pack and

deliver freshly-prepared, hot nutritious Christmas meals to the doors of 10,000 homebound seniors in Michigan, including 5,700

in metro Detroit who are clients of the Detroit Area Agency on Aging (DAAA). This year, DAAA has received a grant from the DTE

Energy Foundation for its Holiday Meals on Wheels program delivery throughout Detroit, Highland Park, Hamtramck, Harper Woods and the five

Grosse Pointes.

WHEN:

Friday, December 23 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NOON and Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25 from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM

WHERE:

Valley Services, 1980 Bagley, Detroit, Michigan 48216, at the corner of Rosa Parks Blvd., (old 12th Street) south of Michigan Avenue and

from 12 sites.

NOTE:

The DTE Energy Foundation has contributed $100,000 and is partnering with five Area Agencies on Aging to provide homebound seniors with hot

meals this Christmas holiday season. The effort will provide meals to 10,000 seniors in Detroit and its suburbs, Grand Rapids and Muskegon. More

than 700 DTE Energy volunteers, including employees and their family members and friends, are supporting Holiday Meals on Wheels. In Southeast

Michigan, company volunteers are working with Meal on Wheels organizations from St. Clair to Monroe and from Detroit to Livingston and Washtenaw

Counties. The efforts by DTE Energy volunteers will make the holidays a bit brighter for 10,000 Michigan senior citizens.
