FUCHU (dpa-AFX) - Mazda North American operations Wednesday said its January sales in the U.S. improved 68.2 percent over last year. January sales in the U.S. increased 68.2 percent to 23,996 vehicles from 14,267 last year. Total car sales rose 93.2 percent to 18,649 units from 9,654 units last year. Total truck sales improved 15.9 percent 5,347 from 4,613 units last year. Mazda Motor de Mexico reported January sales of 2,579 vehicles, up 14.0 percent from last year, while Mazda Canada sold 3,727 vehicles in January, an increase 1.0 percent.
