WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Wisconsin Energy Corp. (WEC) reported that its fourth-quarter net income was $116.0 million or $0.50 per share, down from $125.9 million or $0.53 per share in the same quarter last year. Net income from continuing operations declined to $114.1 million or $0.49 per share, from $125.6 million or $0.53 per share for the fourth quarter of 2010. Operating revenues were $1.11 billion, compared with $1.09 billion in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.48 per share on revenues of $1.10 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
