FAIRFIELD, N.J., Feb. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --SGS Consumer Testing Services announced today that it is sponsoring a keynote presentation on fast fashion by James Schwartz, President and CEO of Mast Global Fashions, at the MAGIC show Feb. 13-15 in Las Vegas. Mast Global Fashions is the sourcing and production powerhouse behind such retail brands as Express, Limited, Chico's and Betsey Johnson, and Schwartz will share his company's innovative approach to delivering on fast fashion during a keynote, "Fast Fashion Without Compromise."
Schwartz is a thirty-year veteran of the garment manufacturing industry and retail fashion business, and currently leads Mast Global Fashions, which provides more than $1 billion of products to leading brands each year. He has served in a variety of leadership roles in sourcing and manufacturing, primarily at Mast, where he has been for the last 28 years. Before that, Schwartz was an executive with major U.S. retailers including Federated Department Stores, Shillitos of Cincinnati, and Bradlees Department Store of Braintree, Massachusetts.
In the MAGIC keynote, Schwartz will outline his company's unique approach of collaborating with customers, vendors, factories, and others to best serve consumers - an approach that has kept Mast at the forefront of fashion for nearly 40 years without compromising end-product quality. The keynote is at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Room S229.
"Mast Global Fashions, under James' careful yet entrepreneurial leadership style, is a driving force in the retail fashion industry," said Katherine Stein, SGS International Business Development Manager and moderator of the keynote. "Mast understands that consumers drive demand, and the company knows how to meet and exceed those demands at every level, delivering well-priced fashion at the right time to the right market. Equally important, Mast shares SGS' vision that speed-to-market must go hand-in-hand with quality and value."
SGS offers a full range of testing, inspection, quality assurance and global compliance services for apparel companies, including care labeling, eco-testing, factory quality assessment, code of conduct assessment, final random and in-line inspection, and regulatory advisory services. The company's Softlines clients include some of the best-known brands in the industry, including Polo, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors and Macy's Merchandising Group.
In addition to Schwartz's keynote at the MAGIC show, SGS Consumer Testing Services is also sponsoring two other presentations, with Stein serving as moderator.
