TOKYO (dpa-AFX) - Asahi Group Holdings Ltd. (ABW.DE, ASBRY.PK) posted Thursday a fiscal 2011 profit of 55.09 billion yen, or 118.28 yen per share, compared to 53.08 billion yen, or 114.00 yen per share a year ago. Total selling general and administrative expenses dipped to 448.30 billion yen from 450.79 billion yen.
Net sales for the year slipped to 1.46 trillion yen from last year's 1.49 trillion yen with revenues from the Alcoholic Beverages segment dropping to 942.42 billion yen from 989.28 billion yen and Soft Drinks segment revenues rising to 329.82 billion yen from 312.28 billion yen.
The company also reported raising year-end dividend to 13.50 yen per share, from 12.50 yen per share, and further forecast a 2012 year-end dividend of 14.00 yen per share. Its financial guidance for 2012 anticipates net income of 65.00 billion yen, or 139.59 yen per share, on net sales of 1.56 trillion yen.
