OTTAWA (dpa-AFX) - Canadian Natural Resources Ltd (CNQ, CNQ.TO) revealed the resignation of Allan Markin, effective April 2, 2012, as a Director and as Chairman of the Board for personal reasons.
The company appointed Murray Edwards, currently Vice Chairman, as Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective April 2, 2012.
In addition, as part of the company's commitment to good governance practices, the Board will appoint an independent lead Director concurrently with the Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders to be held on May 3, 2012.
