New Solution Designed by World Wide Technology Enables One-Touch Automated Migrations to Windows® 7 for Business Enterprises and Government Agencies
World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT), a market-leading systems integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, today announced the launch of CPMigrator™. The solution automates desktop migrations to Windows® 7 by seamlessly transferring all user profiles, data and applications via a one-touch interface. CPMigrator can be tailored to the user's specific IT environment and automated migrations are completed in less than an hour.
"Many business enterprises and government agencies are scrambling to transition to Windows 7 as Microsoft will stop supporting Windows XP™ in April of 2014, but they simply don't have the internal resources, tools or expertise to facilitate a fast, cost-effective migration," said Bob Olwig, vice president of business strategy with World Wide Technology. "WWT has not only helped organizations of all sizes quickly migrate to Windows 7 with CPMigrator, we've used it internally to manage our own enterprise-wide Windows migration."
CPMigrator requires no special hardware or infrastructure. Users choose where to save their data as well as which migration path is right for their organization: Either PC-to-PC, In-Place Operating System migration, or physical PC to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). Administrators can standardize entire deployments using a single configuration or select specific settings from over 100 out-of-the-box configuration options for enhanced control. 128-bit AES encryption secures sensitive data and end users are fully productive as soon as the migrations are complete.
WWT developed CPMigrator to help enterprises and government agencies of all sizes lower costs, increase end user satisfaction and improve visibility and control during Windows migrations. CPMigrator makes it easy to:
- Automate Windows 7 Migrations
- Safely Transfer Required Data and Settings
- Enhance Flexibility and Administrative Control
- Improve Visibility for Quality Assurance and Auditing
WWT offers a per seat license model for CPMigrator with a variety of support options. The company also provides complete logistics services, staff support and hands-on training to make migrations to Windows 7 a success.
