WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - True Religion Apparel Inc. (TRLG) Tuesday said its profit for the first quarter increased, driven mainly by double-digit growth in revenues.
The Vernon, California-based company's attributable net profit for the first quarter was $10.41 million or $0.41 per share, compared to $8.98 million or $0.36 per share last year. On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.36 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues for the quarter grew 13.9 percent to $106.79 million from $93.76 million in the prior-year quarter. Six analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $102.43 million for the quarter.
