PEMBROKE, Bermuda - May 3, 2012 - Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. [NYSE:ENH], a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, today announced that Michael Warwicker will join Endurance as Head of Insurance Operations, Endurance Risk Solutions (Bermuda).  Endurance Risk Solutions provides excess casualty, professional liability, and medical professional liability coverage with a focus on Fortune 1000 companies and large multi-hospital systems and university teaching hospitals.  Mr. Warwicker has more than thirty years experience in the industry, having served in senior underwriting and business development roles with responsibilities across the U.S. and in Bermuda and Europe, most recently developing and managing catastrophe excess lines of business focused on global 1000 clients.

Judy Hart has been appointed to the role of Vice Chairperson of Healthcare Insurance, subject to approval by the Bermuda Department of Immigration.  In this new role, Judy will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives to expand and market Endurance's product offerings. She will also continue to service key clients as an advisor to the healthcare underwriting team.  Ms. Hart joined Endurance in 2002 and built Endurance's Healthcare Liability Practice. Ms. Hart has more than thirty years experience in the design and implementation of risk management and risk financing programs for the healthcare industry and was instrumental in the formation of the Bermuda Society for Healthcare Risk Management, serving as the first President of that organization, as well as on its Board of Directors.

Judy Hart commented, "It's gratifying to be able dedicate more time to a discipline that I am passionate about, especially at a time when there are so many new developments in the healthcare industry. I'm looking forward to supporting Mike through the transition and beyond as Endurance continues to develop new products and capabilities that best address the risk management needs of our clients."

David Cash, Chief Executive Officer of Endurance Specialty Holdings, Ltd. added, "Judy joined Endurance in our early days and has been a driving force in developing not only our healthcare practice but our Bermuda and U.S. excess liability insurance business. Given her depth of knowledge and expertise, we are enthusiastic about her new role and pleased that she will continue to support her Endurance colleagues and clients."

He also noted, "Michael comes to Endurance with an impressive track record as an underwriter and builder of businesses.  With his strong background in large risk insurance and his experience working with global clients in London, Bermuda and the US he is a great fit for Endurance and in particular Endurance Risk Solutions.  Michael's knowledge of the market, technical underwriting skills and significant management and business development experience are a welcome complement to those of our talented Bermuda team."
