Sealed Air's Cryovac® food packaging brand was honored as Supplier of the Year by the American Meat Institute (AMI), becoming the first repeat recipient in the award's 22-year history.
The award was presented at a celebratory breakfast during the 2012 AMI Meat, Poultry & Seafood Convention and Exposition in Dallas, Texas. The annual award is reserved for a supplier member of the AMI that truly partners with meat and poultry processors to help achieve industry goals.
"We're honored to be named Supplier of the Year, and thankful to our customers Butterball and National Beef, for nominating us for this prestigious award," said Karl Deily, president, Sealed Air's food and beverage business unit. "This recognition is a testament to the dedication of all our employees to the goal of providing products and services that consistently exceed our customers' expectations."
In presenting the award, AMI Chairman Larry Odom, president of Odom's Tennessee Pride Sausage, Inc. applauded the company's diligence in sharing its knowledge with customers and ensuring its customers remain abreast to the trends beyond their walls.
"Sealed Air's Cryovac food packaging brand has a long-standing relationship with the meat industry and its belief that it is part of the industry, not just a supplier to it, warrants the AMI Supplier of the Year Award," Odom said.
