ROME (dpa-AFX) - Galp Energia Tuesday said it agreed to acquire Eni S.p.A's (E) stakes in the natural gas distribution companies Setgas and Lusitaniagas for 40.5 million euros.
Eni holds 21.9 percent interest in Setgas and 10.6 percent stake in Lusitaniagas. Setgas and Lusitaniagas have the concession contracts for the natural gas distribution in the South and Central Coast regions of Portugal, respectively.
Following the transaction, Galp Energia will hold a stake of 66.9 percent in Setgas and 96.3 in Lusitaniagas, respectively.
