LONDON (dpa-AFX) - ITV plc's (ITV.L) first-quarter external revenues were up 13% to 565 million pounds from 500 million pounds in the previous year, driven by an increase in non-advertising revenues.
The company said that ITV Studios again performed strongly both in the UK and internationally, particularly in the U.S., with an encouraging number of new commissions. ITV Studios revenues advanced 61% to 212 million pounds in the recent quarter, from 132 million pounds a year ago, reflecting the front loaded delivery of a number of shows, as well as the inclusion of ITV Breakfast production revenues now that Daybreak is produced by ITV Studios.
Share of viewing for ITV Family dropped 2% in the four months to the end of April, however the company remains confident in its schedule with Euro 2012 in June and a strong Autumn line up.
