| WHAT: | U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius will release an ambitious national plan to address Alzheimer's disease in a speech to attendees of the Alzheimer's Disease Research Summit 2012: Path to Treatment and Prevention. The plan was called for in the National Alzheimer's Project Act (NAPA), which President Obama signed into law in January 2011. Several specific actions called for in the plan will be announced, including steps underway to advance research on prevention and treatment efforts; help to ensure our nation's health care providers have high-quality, up-to-date training and information; and help families and caregivers can use to find the services and support they need. | |
