The American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) announced that John Grant, Chris Brechler and Casey Carlson will join its Rocky Mountain Chapter Board of Directors. Mr. Grant will also serve as the government chair for the chapter. The Rocky Mountain chapter extends ACT-IAC's reach to federal, state and local government professionals in the west by providing a local forum for interaction between industry and federal and local governments through education and training programs.
"John, Chris and Casey each bring qualities to the board that will strengthen ACT-IAC's presence and activities in the western region. Their leadership and government insight will be invaluable as we continue to offer educational programs and services to address government challenges," said MaryAnn Hoadley, industry chair for the Rocky Mountain Chapter.
John Grant is a senior manager for the federal government in Denver. Prior to this position, he served as the deputy director and in various commercial sector ventures as a vice president of marketing. He is a combat veteran of the U.S. Army Green Berets, Special Operations, and he has also served as a U.S. Marine Corps officer. He received a bachelor of science degree from the City University of New York and a Marketing MBA Certificate from Texas Instruments' Virtual University.
Casey Carlson is the enterprise research and strategy assistant to the Office of Information Technology, where he directly assists the state chief technology officer on all strategic and tactical matters to ensure sustainability and interoperability for all state systems, information and technologies. Prior to that, he served as the director of Networking and IT at PaySimple.
Chris Brechler is the reclamation enterprise manager for the IT Services Division at the Bureau of Reclamation, Department of the Interior. Chris has been a federal employee for 31 years, spending the past 11 years as a federal IT manager. He earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Northern Arizona University.
