The Transport Administration has given Rejlers the order to be the project manager of commissioning and traffic opening of Norra Länken road tunnel. The order includes responsibility for planning and carrying out testing and commissioning. In addition, contracts with external parties will be established, such as emergency services and mobile operators. It also includes training of operators that will be implemented before the opening of the tunnel in 2015.
The Northern Link is one of Europe's largest road tunnel projects and will extend from Tomteboda to Värtan in Stockholm. It is important in the sense that it solves the region's traffic problems and is also a condition for building two new districts in Stockholm.
