WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Fidelity National Financial Inc. (FNF) Monday reported an increase in profit for the second quarter, due mainly to higher revenues.
The Jacksonville, Florida-based company's second-quarter net profit attributable to common shareholders was $147.0 million or $0.65 per share, compared to $80.0 million or $0.36 per share last year. On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.48 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues for the quarter grew to $1.74 billion from $1.23 billion in the prior-year quarter.
