PARIS (dpa-AFX) - TyraTech Inc. (TYR.L), a life sciences company focusing on natural pest control and healthcare products, on Thursday said that it has appointed Bruno Jactel, aged 51, as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. TyraTech noted that Jactel joins the Executive Board as the firm accelerates its transition toward commercialization.
To ensure a smooth transition, Alan Reade will remain as Executive Chairman until at least the end of the first quarter of 2013. He will then revert to the role of Non-Executive Chairman and in that capacity will continue to support the company both as a Board Member and an investor.
Jactel spent 12 years at Merial Limited, the Animal Health subsidiary of the Sanofi Group (SNY, SNYNF.PK), most recently as combined Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.
Prior to that, he was Deputy Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the French Embassy in Washington D.C.
Reade, said, 'Bruno joins at a pivotal time in the company's history and his appointment will enhance the commercial competencies of TyraTech as well as bringing a new dynamic to an already strong Board.'
