LUXEMBOURG (dpa-AFX) - Millicom International Cellular (MIICF.PK), a global telecom group, reported a sharp decline in its fourth-quarter net profit attributable to the company's owners to $87 million, or $0.85 per share, from the prior year's $180 million, or $1.76 per share.
Quarterly revenue grew to $1.27 billion, representing a local currency revenue growth of 6.4% over last year, excluding for Cablevision contribution. Unlike previous quarters, exchange movements, coupled with the consolidation of Cablevision, positively impacted reported revenues by 1.1 percentage points in the fourth quarter.
