WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Kaiser Aluminum Corp. (KALU) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $9.1 million or $0.47 per share, compared to $6.1 million or $0.33 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Excluding items, adjusted net income for the fourth quarter was $12.5 million or $0.65 per share, compared to $9.9 million or $0.52 per share in the prior year quarter.
Net sales for the fourth quarter fell to $314.0 million from $317.6 million a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.81 per share on revenue of $317.71 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
