LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Amended: corrects to add 'per share' in the first para.
Barratt Developments PLC (BDEV.L) reported that its six-month profit before tax increased by 113.4% to 46.1 million pounds from 21.6 million pounds last year. Profit to equityholders was 33.0 million pounds or 3.3 pence per share for the period, compared to 12.1 million pounds or 1.2 pence per share in the prior year.
Group revenues were 951.1 million pounds compared to 952.8 million pounds last year.
Profit from operations for the period increased by 32.2%, with a significant improvement in operating margin to 8.5%.
