LAKE FOREST (dpa-AFX) - Stericycle Inc. (SRCL) Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $74.6 million or $0.85 per share, up from $64.8 million or $0.75 per share last year.
Adjusted earnings improved to $0.88 per share from $0.79 per share last year. On average, 15 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.88 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Meanwhile, revenues for the quarter grew 11.7 percent to $513.8 million from $416.1 million in the first quarter last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $520.01 million for the quarter.
