WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - International Game Technology (IGT) Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $78.2 million or $0.29 per share, up from $61.9 million or $0.21 per share in the same period last year.
Income from continuing operations improved to $78.2 million or $0.29 per share from $62.4 million or $0.21 per share last year.
Adjusted earnings from continuing operations were $95.1 million or $0.36 per share. On average, 19 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.29 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues totaled $600.0 million, up 11 percent from $541.2 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $571.61 million.
Looking ahead, the company has raised its full-year outlook for adjusted earnings from continuing operations to a range of $1.26 to $1.32 per share from the previous guidance range of $1.20 to $1.30 per share.
