STMicroelectronics to integrate Quantenna's award-winning
802.11ac Wi-Fi technology into various system-on-chip platforms
Fremont, Calif. and Geneva - May 7, 2013 - STMicroelectronics (http://www.st.com/) (NYSE: STM), a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications, and Quantenna Communications (http://www.quantenna.com/), Inc., a leader in ultra-reliable Wi-Fi networking for whole-home entertainment, announced today that they have signed a non-exclusive worldwide licensing agreement giving ST the ability to integrate Quantenna IP into its broad array of systems-on-chips and giving Quantenna the ability to leverage the entire ecosystem of ST's entertainment, networking and security products.
