X-FAB:
Who
X-FAB Silicon Foundries, the leading analog/mixed-signal foundry group manufacturing silicon wafers for analog-digital integrated circuits (mixed-signal ICs)
What
Will present a free hour-long webinar that sheds light on spectral response what happens when optical signals are converted to electrical signals. Hosted by X-FAB technologists Daniel Gaebler and Detlef Sommer, the webinar provides a solid overview of passive and active optical sensor elements manufactured in a mixed-signal CMOS process or added during post processing. It covers reflection, transmission, polarization, refraction and absorption with semiconductor devices; and it explores electrical fields, recombination and lifetime, doping profiles, band structures and pn-junctions to determine what happens when light has been converted into electron-hole pairs.
