LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Outsourcing group Bunzl Plc (BZLFY.PK, BNZL.L) reported acquiring Wesclean Equipment & Cleaning Supplies Ltd in Canada. Based in Edmonton, Alberta and operating from 13 locations across Western Canada, Wesclean mainly deals with the distribution of cleaning and hygiene equipment and supplies to a variety of customer markets. Revenue for the year ended September 30, 2013 totaled C$65 million.
Commenting on the acquisition, Bunzl's Chief Executive said: 'The acquisition of Wesclean is an important development for our business in Canada as it significantly expands our operations there in the cleaning and hygiene sector. The business has an excellent reputation for providing a broad range of products and services and should provide additional pportunities for us to develop further in this sector.'
