Corio has signed a contract with Primark to open a 7,500 m2 flagship store in Grand Littoral in Marseille. The Primark store will anchor the redeveloped 'Zone Azur' part of the shopping center.
Gerard Groener, CEO: 'We are delighted that Primark has chosen Grand Littoral for its first store in France. The store is located in the Zone Azur redevelopment which is the first phase in a larger scheme that will maintain Grand Littoral's position as dominant mall in the region. With this signature the Zone Azur redevelopment is 81% let and is expected to be fully let soon. Communication about opening will be done at a later stage.'
The signature of Primark follows a flow of strong leasing activity and openings in the past few months among which: Apple in Porta di Roma (September, third Apple store in the portfolio), Zara Flagship in Hoog Catharijne in Utrecht (December), Primark in Almere (December), H&M in La Loma in Jaén, Spain (May), Pull & Bear in Boulevard Berlin (May), River Island in Alexandrium in Rotterdam (May), Starbucks in Hoog Catharijne in Utrecht (May) or Swarovski in Mondeville 2 in Caen (May).
