PEMBROKE, Bermuda - May 22, 2013 - Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:ENH), a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, today announced that Peter Mills will be joining the company as Executive Vice President and Head of Specialty Reinsurance. The creation of this new role focused on building Endurance's specialty reinsurance capabilities will support the company's plans for international expansion. Mr. Mills brings to Endurance almost thirty years experience underwriting specialty risks with responsibilities across global reinsurance markets. He will join Endurance's Bermuda operation on August 14, 2013, subject to approval by the Bermuda Department of Immigration.

Mr. Mills joins Endurance from Tokio Millennium Re Ltd, where he served most recently as Strategic Underwriting Officer, expanding their specialty product lines and global reach. From 2005 to 2011, Mr. Mills was Senior Vice President of Specialty Lines responsible for developing Tokio Millennium Re's specialty portfolio worldwide. Prior to joining Tokio, Mr. Mills held various underwriting roles of increasing responsibility at Gerling America, XL Europe and Cologne Re over the last twenty years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York.
