"Folio Cloud" platform winner in category "Cloud service user: Best business impact"
Software manufacturer and cloud provider Fabasoft won the EuroCloud Germany Award in the category "Best business impact" at the evening gala as part of the EuroCloud Germany Conference 2013 in Karlsruhe. The winner was a software service based on Fabasoft Folio Cloud used by Daimler AG. The automotive manufacturer uses the software service to optimise the cross country and company management of product certificates for vehicle components.
"The combination of dynamic document management, boundless business collaboration and flexible cloud platform won over the expert panel" confirmed the jury of the German cloud computing business organisation EuroCloud Deutschland_eco. They evaluated the benefits that the user companies achieved from the practical use of the cloud services. A smooth management of product certificates is crucial for manufacturers and suppliers. A missing or invalid certificate for a tyre or headlight can cause an import stop in important target markets.

"Certificate management in Folio Cloud does not just bring cost benefits for our customers and their suppliers but also leads to a significant improvement in quality for the handling of certificates since all parties across different sites now use up-to-date documents."
As part of this project SSC-Services developed a Cloud App which is immediately and globally available without investment costs or implementation project. Security plays a central role. Certificates can only be handled by people who have been explicitly authorised, invited to the collaboration and who have securely authenticated themselves. Secure access is also guaranteed for mobile users with tablets and smartphones.
