LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Britvic plc (BVIC.L), a manufacturer of soft drinks, Tuesday said that the Competition Commission or CC has provisionally approved the possible merger between Britvic and A.G. BARR p.l.c,(BAG.L), a soft drinks group. The CC fully reviewed the context of the potential transaction and provisionally concluded that it does not expect it to result in a substantial lessening of competition, A.G. BARR said in a statement. The CC is expected to announce the final decision by the end of July.
