TEL AVIV (dpa-AFX) - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (CHKP), which develops network firewall systems, Thursday reported third-quarter earnings which increased, helped by higher revenues from subscriptions to the company's software blade architecture.
Both earnings and revenues also beat analysts' estimates.
For the three months to September, net earnings were $161.05 million or $0.84 per share, up from $159.7 million or $0.80 per share a year earlier.
Excluding certain items, per-share earnings of $0.93 beat the $0.91 consensus estimate of analysts polled by Thomson-Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Revenues increased to $370.37 million, from $344.13 million last year, above the $367.1 million Wall Street expected.
