WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) reported net income for the second quarter of $151 million or $1.04 per share, compared to $232 million or $1.54 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Earnings per share from continuing operations for the second quarter were $1.18, compared to $1.01 in the prior year quarter.
Revenue for the second quarter fell to $3.08 billion from $3.19 billion a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.01 per share on revenue of $3.18 billion for the second quarter.
The company raised its fiscal 2015 target range for earnings per share from continuing operations to $4.45 to $4.65 from its prior outlook of $4.35 to $4.55. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $4.51 per share for the fiscal year 2015.
