THE HAGUE (dpa-AFX) - Dutch telecommunication firm Royal KPN NV (KPN, KKPNY.PK, KKPNF.PK) reported Wednesday that its fourth-quarter net loss narrowed to 37 million euros from last year's loss of 108 million euros.
The loss mainly was impacted by higher financial expenses related to the bond tender, the company said.
Operating profit climbed to 218 million euros from 98 million euros a year ago.
Revenues grew 2.1 percent to 2.105 billion euros from 2.061 billion euros a year ago. Adjusted revenues remained flat with last year.
Looking ahead, the company expects adjusted EBITDA to have stabilized by the end of the year, due to the benefits from the Simplification program.
