WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Wisconsin Energy (WEC) reported net income of $80.9 million or $0.35 a share for the second quarter of 2015, compared to $133.0 million or $0.58 a share in the prior year. Excluding the effect of the costs related to the acquisition of Integrys Energy Group, adjusted earnings for the latest second quarter were $0.59 a share.
On average, ten analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.55 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues for the latest second quarter were $991.2 million, compared with $1.04 billion in the second quarter of 2014. Analysts expected revenue of $1.05 billion for the quarter.
