FORT LAUDERDALE (dpa-AFX) - Citrix Systems Inc (CTXS) announced a profit for its second quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.
The company said its bottom line climbed to $188.49 million, or $1.20 per share. This was up from $162.73 million, or $1.00 per share, in last year's second quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.14 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 5.8% to $842.98 million. This was up from $796.76 million last year.
