BEIJING (dpa-AFX) - China Distance Education Holdings Ltd. (DL) revealed earnings for its third quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.
The company said its bottom line climbed to $7.92 million, or $0.233 per share. This was higher than $5.74 million, or $0.160 per share, in last year's third quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.11 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter rose 6.9% to $30.79 million. This was up from $28.79 million last year.
