SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) -- MTV Networks, a unit of Viacom Inc. , said Wednesday that Herb Scannell, vice chairman of MTVN and president of Nickelodeon Networks, has decided to leave the company to pursue other opportunities, effective immediately. In conjunction with Scannell's departure, MTV Networks has restructured Nickelodeon Networks management. The company named Cyma Zarghami, currently president of Nickelodeon Television, to lead the newly formed MTVN Kids and Family group. Additionally, TV Land, which previously operated under the Nickelodeon Networks brand, will join Spike TV and Comedy Central under President Doug Herzog, with TV Land President Larry Jones reporting into Herzog, the company said.
