JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AFX) - Military vehicle manufacturer Armor Holdings Inc. on Tuesday said it received a contract worth up to $34 million to produce body armor and protective plates for the Marine Corps.
The four-year pact includes 'enhanced side small arms protective inserts' and ballistic carriers. The initial delivery order totals about $20.8 million.
The company said its aerospace and defense group in Phoenix, Ariz., and Geneva, Ala., will perform the contract's work in 2006 and 2007.
