NEW YORK (AFX) - Video game maker Atari Inc., on Monday said it completed the sale of Shiny Entertainment to Los Angeles-based game developer Foundation 9 Entertainment.
Atari will retain its current project planning formerly developed by Shiny, including 'Earthworm Jim.'
Financial terms were not disclosed.
'The sale of Shiny Entertainment completes the final phase of our strategic restructuring,' said David Pierce, the company's president and chief executive, said in a release. 'We now have a centralized organization that can utilize external studio execution while maintaining internal focus on creative development and production.'
Shares of Atari were unchanged at 58 cents on the Nasdaq.
