Time Warner Cable Business Class announced today that its carrier-class Ethernet networks have received the Iometrix' (Metro Ethernet Forum's certification lab) MEF 9 Certification. These networks are now certified and MEF-compliant, delivering a full portfolio of Ethernet services, including EPL, EVPL, and E-LAN1. This certification ensures customers that its Ethernet private lines provide reliable and consistent high-bandwidth services to connect their local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) environments.
As industry standards have progressed along with networking requirements, Ethernet enables easy and cost effective solutions to deploy and manage. To meet increased communications and productivity requirements, companies of all sizes are deploying more high-bandwidth applications across their organizations. To take full advantage of these applications, organizations are adopting Time Warner Cable's carrier-class Ethernet services which enable them to extend their LAN environment across the wide-area network.
"In today's fast-paced environment, the ability to provide employees with applications that run over reliable Ethernet-based services is critical," said John Southard, Chief Technology Officer, New York Law School "Time Warner Cable Business Class enables us to dynamically provision the required bandwidth to support our IP-based applications.
