PARIS (Thomson Financial) - French insurer April Group said it still expects sales to grow by about 15 pct for 2007 as a whole, after first-half sales were 'perfectly' in line with management guidance.
In the first six months of 2007, consolidated sales were 288.43 mln eur, up 14.6 pct as published from 251.66 mln eur a year earlier or up 12.2 pct from 256.95 mln on a pro forma basis.
April Group said specialist motorcycle insurance company AMT is consolidated since Jan 1, 2007.
Reunion-based personal property and casualty insurer Assurdom Gestion will be consolidated from July 1, as will Canadian travel insurance broker Escapade and Canadian aggravated risks wholesale broker Dave Rochon.
April said that in the second quarter, sales reached 146.82 mln eur, up 15.7 pct from 126.82 mln eur a year earlier as published or up 14.1 pct from 128.73 on a pro forma basis.
In the first half, Life and Health recorded a 10 pct year-on-year sales growth to 193.85 mln eur. This was a 10.2 pct pro forma rise.
