WASHINGTON (AP) - XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. said Thursday General Motors Corp. will install its radios as standard equipment on all 2008 Buick, Hummer and Saab models.
Satellite radio providers are increasingly looking to preinstalled radios in cars to boost subscriber numbers as retail sales slide.
XM is already standard on most of GM's 2008 Saturn, Chevrolet, GMC and Pontiac models.
XM and rival Sirius Satellite Radio Inc., which is trying to buy XM, have non-overlapping deals with all of the major carmakers.
XM shares edged up 9 cents to $15.60 in early trading.
