The contract to provide food service, laundry and warehouse design and solid waste solutions for the new Baha Mar Resort, Casino and Spa Destination has been awarded to Florida based consulting firm, Theodore Barber & Company, Inc. (TBCI).
Baha Mar is located at Cable Beach, New Providence Island, Nassau, Bahamas. The project represents the largest single phase hospitality investment in the Caribbean of approximately $2 billion on 1000 acres. The project features the first ever Caesars Casino in the Caribbean and a Caesars Hotel. Joining Caesars, Starwoods Resorts Worldwide will manage their prestigious St. Regis, Westin and W brand hotels and spa. Baha Mar will feature a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. Baha Mar Phase I is scheduled to open in early 2011.
In addition, Theodore Barber & Company, Inc., provided food service design for the recently opened Sheraton Hotel at Cable Beach, food service design for the Wyndham Hotel - Seaside Buffet, both adjacent to the Baha Mar complex. As part of the Baha Mar complex upgrade, Theodore Barber & Company, Inc., completed the design and furnished the equipment for the current central laundry to support the Sheraton, Wyndham and Cable Beach Resorts.
