BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - Adolor Corp. Thursday said the Food and Drug Administration has lifted the clinical hold on its new drug application for the Entereg program for chronic opioid bowel dysfunction.
The Entereg program is currently under development in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline. Adolor said GlaxoSmithKline is evaluating all options relating to the opioid bowel dysfunction program, including whether to proceed with its involvement with the program.
Adolor said it would expect to submit a protocol for an additional study in this indication for review by the FDA should GlaxoSmithKline discontinue its involvement.
