Anonymous web browser profile JonDoFox 2.0 released
press1 - The JonDos GmbH, who also develops the anonymisation service
JonDonym, since today offers the newest version 2.0 of JonDoFox for
download. JonDoFox is an open-source browser profile for Mozilla Firefox 3
which is optimised for high security and best privacy. The profile is
available with installation routines for Windows, Linux and MacOS X. There
is, moreover, a windows installation packet for portable operation from a
flash drive.

JonDoFox is preconfigured for both the anonymisation tool JonDo and Tor if
they are installed. However, the profile also works together with other
proxy and VPN services.
JonDoFox solves two big problems of IP anonymisation services: On the one
hand, most users are not able to configure their web browser correctly and
secure. On the other hand, even individually well configured web browsers
differ in many details (system, version, language,...). If this
information is not technically equalised for all users and for all web
protocols, observers (web sites, anonymisation services) may use them to
create surf profiles of each individual user. Users of JonDoFox may check

Upcoming versions of JonDoFox will bring even more enhancements: In
particular, JonDos currently develops a privacy-friendly filter extension
for the browser language JavaScript. Moreover, a separate development for
