Deutsche Bank ups targets on Home Depot, Lowe's
Deutsche Bank on Tuesday raised its price targets on Home Depot and Lowe's Cos, saying the group's second-quarter earnings should be a positive catalyst for the stocks.
'Many of the leading indicators that we track have begun to look better, confirming our view that trends have likely bottomed,' the firm wrote. 'Weather earlier in the quarter may have had a negative impact, but we think comps should be at least in line with our forecasts.'
Deutsche Bank raised its target on Lowe's to $26 from $23 and on Home Depot to $27 from $24. It also affirmed its 'buy' rating on Lowe's and its 'hold' rating on Home Depot, a Dow component.
Shares of Home Depot closed Monday at $26.32 while Lowe's closed at $22.74.
