Executives of Leading Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Brands in Taiwan Will Unveil New Products and Speak at Showcase Event
Executives of some of the world's largest ICT companies will give a glimpse of new products and trends at the "TAIWAN Showcases Innovative and Stylish Products at CeBIT 2010" press conference.
The presentations took place from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Saal 13/14, Convention Centre, Hannover Messe on 3 March. Members of the press media are cordially invited.
Companies from Taiwan, including electronics brands such as Acer and ASUS, have won record numbers of design awards in recent years from prestigious organizations such as iF and Red Dot. This year, the companies are launching still more outstanding products that meet consumer needs for mobility, energy savings and greater ease of use. The global consumer electronics industry will return to growth this year, according to numerous market research companies, and virtually all of Taiwan's electronics industry segments making PCs, flat-panel displays and semiconductors already rebounded strongly in the fourth quarter last year.
Taiwan's electronics companies supply everything from components to finished goods and together form a very efficient industry chain supplying personal computers, mobile phones and consumer electronics around the globe.
Angela Chang, Executive Director of Taiwan Trade Centre Duesseldorf, will open the press conference with welcoming remarks. Executives from award-winning companies will also speak at the event. The agenda is as follows:

AIPTEK, an industry leader in small digital video cameras, has recently unveiled the world's smallest high density (HD) camcorder. At CeBIT, AIPTEK will present its StoryBook InColor, a product that makes reading fun for children. The product lets children search for favorite books in a virtual bookcase and even shop on the AIPTEK website for more books. http://www.aiptek.com

Mio, a world-leading GPS maker, this year announced that it received the prestigious iF Product Design Award 2010 for its Mio Litepad N890 and Litepad N1210, making it three years in a row with such a commendation. The company will unveil some of its latest offerings at CeBIT. http://www.mio.com
Thermaltake, one of the world's leading makers of products that dissipate heat in personal computers used for gaming, won an award for its SpinQ coolers at the Computex Taipei 2009 exhibition. At CeBIT, the company will present its Gaming Tower, which was designed with an open modular structure exposing all individually encased system components, thereby making modifications a snap. http://www.thermaltake.com
Transcend, which makes memory cards and MP3 players, received eight Symbol of Excellence awards in Taiwan's InnoValue Awards competition last year. At CeBIT, the company will show a selection of its latest external hard drives. http://www.transcend.de/
ZyXEL is a leading manufacturer of networking equipment. At CeBIT, the company will show its Multi-service Gateway MSG100, which won the "Infovision Award" from Broadband World Forum Europe for the concept and design. http://www.zyxel.com/
At CeBIT this year, visitors can see 130 outstanding products showcased in the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion at Hall 17/ Stand C70.
Taiwan companies account for about 90 percent of the world's notebook PC production, about half of the world's liquid-crystal displays (LCDs) and about a quarter of the world's semiconductors.
Taiwan companies are among the world's leaders in offering products that save energy, reduce pollution and help keep people fit. Taiwan has some of the world's largest companies making green products such as bicycles, energy saving lights and solar cells to name a few. The Taiwan government is supporting this effort as part of its goal of sustainable development for businesses.
