Cloud Computing World Forum Recognizes Abiquo with 2010 Best Product Award
Abiquo, a leading cloud management software vendor, today announced that the Cloud Computing World Forum has selected Abiquo as the 2010 winner of the Best Enterprise Software Award. The prestigious Cloud Computing World Series Award – one of only ten global awards given - was presented to Abiquo CEO Pete Malcolm at the Cloud Computing World Forum 2010 award event held at the Olympia Conference Centre in London, England on June 29th.
The Cloud Computing World Series Awards annually recognize the best Cloud products and services. Winners are selected by an independent panel of judges including press editors, industry analysts, management consultants, and practicing IT architects and leaders. This year, the judges had to select from over 40 nominations in each category.
Despite the fierce competition, Abiquo was shortlisted in two award categories (Best Virtualization Product and Best Enterprise Solution) and emerged as the winner over Appirio and HP for Best Enterprise Solution.
Abiquo was awarded "Best Enterprise Solution" because the Abiquo product is the most complete enterprise-class Cloud management solution that is available today.
