The Company Enters the Global Mobile TV Market, offering a Mobile TV Reception Chip, Android Tablet Player and Mobile TV Router Solution
ENSPERT (http://ENSPERT.com), a leading media convergence solution and device provider today announced at CES that the company will be entering the global mobile TV chip-set and solutions market based on Google's Android operating system in 2011.
The new mobile solutions suite consists of a mobile TV reception chipset, Android tablet player and mobile TV router (which receives and transmits mobile signals via Wi-Fi, allowing other devices not equipped with ASTC-M/H reception chip to display in ATSC-M/H format) and supports ATSC-M/H, the U.S. standard for mobile TV in North America, along with ISDC-T (1-Seg) for Japan, Brazil and South America and T-DMB and DAB for Korea and Europe.
The mobile TV reception solution introduced by ENSPERT can be applied not only to the Android tablet, but also a smartphone, PDA and PC/laptop. For example, if a consumer's personal technology device is equipped with this solution and used in a car, he/she can enjoy watching television or using the tablet for other media consumption while on the road.
"We think this is the right time for us to enter the global mobile TV market," said Chang-Seok Lee, CEO of ENSPERT. "Recently, a local TV alliance (Pearl Mobile DTV) of the U.S. and MCV (Mobile Content Ventures), formed by 12 networks such as Fox, ION television and NBC, announced they will be expanding mobile TV services targeting 40% of the nation's population by the end of 2011. Market adoption of mobile TV (ATSC-M/H) and solutions in the U.S. will be accelerating and our solution suite has the potential to fit in very nicely here."
ENSPERT marries the latest in portable mobile technology with elegant and fashionable devices that express the way we live and work today. In addition to the IDENTITYmobile TV service, the 2011 IDENTITY line features an ecosystem of smart connected devices that leverage the open-source Android operating system including smartphones, multi-device media convergence hubs, VoIP and SoIP systems, mobile hotspots and more. The new lineup of IDENTITY devices is available for demo at 2011 International CES in the South Hall Upper Level & Connector, booth number 36218, from January 6-9.
Head of Operations for ENSPERT, Mr. Bae Sung Ok said, "We are entering the mobile TV solutions market in 2011 targeting the U.S., Europe, Japan, Central and South America. With our competitiveness in the mobile broadcasting chip-set sector in Korea, we are planning to become an organization that can provide essential components for media convergence devices coupled with software solutions that support the technology."
