Wall Street rebounds on J&J, but Goldman weighs
Encouraging results from health care and materials companies lifted U.S. stocks on Tuesday, but weak earnings from Goldman Sachs limited gains in a market skeptical of the growth outlook.

The Dow Jones industrial average gained 65.16 points, or 0.53 percent, to 12,266.75 at the close. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index added 7.48 points, or 0.57 percent, to 1,312.62. The Nasdaq Composite Index advanced 9.59 points, or 0.35 percent, to 2,744.97.

Tech stocks rally in extended trading, IBM down
A number of tech companies rallied in extended trading on Tuesday after reporting higher-than-expected revenue.
Intel Corp, VMware Inc and Yahoo Inc all posted sales that topped consensus expectations.

Shares of Intel, a Dow component, rose 5.8 percent to $21.01 in extended trading while VMware gained 10 percent to $94.71. Yahoo rose 3.1 percent to $16.62.
International Business Machines Corp, a Dow component, raised its full-year profit view but the stock was 0.7 percent lower.

A number of China-based companies with an Internet presence rallied on Tuesday, highlighted by a jump of more than 20 percent in Ku6 Media Co Ltd to $5.71.
Other stocks moving higher include ChinaCache International Holdings Ltd , up 16.7 percent to $18.62, and Sohu.com Inc, up 3.6 percent to $99.51.
